A dense, bold wine, with tart cherry, ripe plums and chocolate open the nose then gives way to darker and earthier aromas of spice and game.  It's powerful and lively in the mouth, with seamless backbone and a silky restrained power.  A great candidate for the cellar, but would show well now the rich grilled meat.
