Notes of wild strawberry jam, rose hips, and ruby red grapefruit are lifted by the floral tone of orange blossom filling the nose. The palate is rich, perfumed and fruit foward with tangelos, strawberries, nectarines and watermelon rind.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, this wine is made in the same fashion as Champagne but without the bubbles.
This is our traditional blend of four clones of Pinot Noir: 45% Pommard, 20% Dijon Clone 777, 20% Dijon clone 114 and 15% Wadenswil. The Pommard clone continues to be the foundation for our estate wines.
Excellent balance of alcohol, acidity and tannis structure. This is a wine made to lay down for a bit and will great growth with proper cellaring.
Excellent in balance of alcohol and acidity, this is not a Pinot for the faint of heart. It will pair well against dishes of richness as well as red meat that would often call out for a fuller bodied big red.
The 2010 vintage is elegant and refined and will please those palates that are more familiar with Pinot Noirs of the Old World.
